State of the Outbound is a short film that captures the pure heart of adventure and life on the road. Filmed over the course of a 13-day road trip through the North Island (Te Ika-a-Māui) and South Island (Te Waipounamu) of New Zealand.

State of the Outbound follows trampers as they escape the speed of society and seek to become a common thread stitched into the fabric of the world. After loading the simplest of life essentials into packs and tossing them in the van, they hit the open road in search of the virtues of the wilderness.
